The bearing is out and back in.
There is a slight running noise when we put the drum on. Other than that it's all done

BUT, the question is, are you HOPPY?

On an unrelated note, I might be getting an Allroad for $300 bucks, with a questionable subframe and the air suspension delete.

I bought this kit for doing wheel bearings without having to take the knuckle or trailing arm out. Great for 70$ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FLVOAZI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_UcYHBbHJXN67T it says fwd but I used in my e30 rear bearings.

Slight running Boise frequently is brake shoes dragging. My experience is its nearly impossible to pull and replace a drum while leaving the shoes exactly the way they were. Make sure you adjust them properly after putting the wheel back on either by manually turning the adjuster (the hard way) until they just start to resist motion, or by giving it the boot in reverse then stomping on the brakes a few times (easy way).

The shoes were completely removed and put back together with a rebuilding hardware kit. I think it's the brake shield. It accidently got wacked a few times

No air ride not an Allro ad. You'll love the car but it will do nothing but hurt you. It will find 10 other ways to leave you stranded

Excellent. Carry on! :P

Could be if it's still doing it. I've just never had a drum go back on without dragging a little at first.

My brother-in-law volunteers on a ship. They still have a lot of the original metalworking equipment and use it for repairs on the ship. he was able to use a huge hydraulic press to get it out

Good enough for this job!

Yeah it sounds crazy but it would be my mission to restore the air suspension to its former glory. Luckily this won’t be a DD. Also I live on an island, above the shop I work at so I’m in a unique position to take on this Audi.

well good luck. I’d be jealous if you got it running. I loved that car. The suspension rebuild will go for about $2500 in parts. I don’ t thi nk it would be a hard job. I never had to deal with an airline which I imagine would be the hardest part. It probably snakes all over the fucking place. I saw that Porsche Cayanne calipers and discs bolt right on, so I’m sure you could easily come across those in a junkyard.
